Prayer is vital to your apostolic prophetic relationship. It is actually your life source. Without it you would die or you should at least feel this way.
If you can live without prayer then you are not called into the apostolic and prophetic. If you have a very anemic prayer life you are not called into the apostolic or prophetic although you may want to be. That would be like playing the piano horribly , only to be told you have no talent. You may respond, "But I feel like I can play the piano." Bliss is most beautiful to those who are ignorant. Unfortunately being involved in the apostolic and prophetic does not allow us to be ignorant because other people's futures are at stake. To those whom we minister we should minister with the fear of the Lord because their future is in our hands. There are no gifts or talents that can prepare you for the weight of responsibility that comes with a true apostolic prophetic calling.
The mantle has weight and often with it comes sorrow, just like I had mentioned in my travel/training page. A broken heart and a contrite spirit God will not despise. Do you want to continue only hearing the Fathers voice or do you want to see Him as Moses and Jesus did? It is my desire to transfer my ability for others to see what I see and live what I live, yet so many are content if they can hear him. To me that is sad when He is offering us so much more. The relationship I offer to those who believe in mentoring is nothing less than what I live an breathe. Prayer is just the foundation of something much greater.

Not all walk in the office of an apostolic prophet minister. Actually many more people work with the gift of prophecy than in the actual office. The difference would be the gift of prophecy lends itself solely to future broadcasts and predictions, while someone who walks in the office of the apostolic prophet minister not only can predict and broadcast future events but demonstrate their relationship in the now and present. Instead of telling you what is going to happen they walk in a realm and relationship with Father God that can and will often manifest change in the immediate surroundings.
You could be prayer-less and charismatic but that will only carry you so far. You could make up false prophecies to gullible people and walk away with big offerings and make some money but mark my words you will not be doing that many years down the road.
True apostolic prophetic ministers are not born in one night, but as we saw in Elisha's case, it took years. His training started in his youth and continued into adulthood. A seasoned apostolic prophetic minister as I have been told and learned has rhinoceros' skin and a heart as soft as a babies.
They are a person of deep prayer with even deeper convictions and a strong faith and knowledge. They know who they serve, they now when to speak and not to speak. They understand that all power and majesty belong to Him, we are just standing in His place to serve the people. A true apostolic prophetic minister comes not with just empty words that entertain you, but will walk effortlessly in the realm of the supernatural with signs following. Many call themselves apostolic prophetic ministers who have trained their voice but God wants us to be tuned even more so in our heart and spirit because for that is the place that He dwells.
