New is not based on what you know.
2009 will be a year of new beginnings for everyone but not all will accept the challenge of new. Many will bring, carry and stow away mental emotional and physical luggage from the previous year. Many will continue to walk under a burden which will only get heavier and heavier with each passing year. It is my desire that My children run in freedom and complete liberty and yet because of their unbelief they will walk hobble and stumble under very unfair weights which they could be delivered from if they would only obey Me and heed My words.
2009 will be a year of jubilee for many. 2009 will be a year of liberty for many. 2009 will be a year of deliverance for many but just as many more will not enter into the promises and the needed rest of their Lord. The enemy has lied to many of My children and fear has gripped their hearts and they cannot reach out their hands for help or assistance. If they just spoke the words I would come but silence mingled with labored breathing are what are in my ears instead. Many will faint many will quit in this season and blame Me for this injustice. The enemy has them convinced that I gave them the load they carry and that all and any attempts to appeal to Me to relieve it would be in vain. So they do not.
Hardships failure and loss will always accompany distrust. The enemy has been speaking to many of My children for some time now and although 2009 brings with it great promises and challenges for success, far too many of My children have already been courting defeat and this year he wants to bring you a shovel as a gift. He knows that with your own confession you shall dig your hole and he shall lay in it with you. The enemy knows that after many years of binding you up with cords of distrust fear and doubt that you are nearly and virtually incapable of following the ordinances and commandments of your Lord but I say I have come and I will come to you if you will just call on My name.
I will do what you have not been able to do. I will do what you have always dreamed but been afraid of. I will set you free. I will heal you. I will deliver you and I will love you.
I have always loved you even with an everlasting love that has also suffered with you during the times of your unbelief. I have loved you even while you chose sin over Me. I have never left you or forsook you, I just walked silently beside you while you toiled under the unfair weight of your past mistakes. I could not take the whip out of the enemy’s hand nor could I stop you from positioning yourself in front of his whip. Like a spider that clothes its victim for a web so it has been of him. His deceit and lies have kept you both burdened and drained of life. The thoughts of rescue and the hope of deliverance have long since left you and thoughts of just making it or having just enough have followed you everywhere. You have been dining with despair sadness despondency for so long that now as you enter into 2009 you found it hard to rejoice as you were told to do. Oh you went through the motions and outwardly you smiled but inside the unseen weight of yesterday was not lifted but dropped like your own personal New Years ball that sunk even further into your already satiated soul.
It is true 2009 is meant to be a new beginning for you but you must accept it. I am not concerned about your present condition or about your past as much as I concerned about your future. I will not burden myself with your loathsome past or your knowledge that you are capable of making continual consistent mistakes in the future. My child this is not a walk of perfection but a walk of Love. I love you and I offer you a chance to be free once again. Let 2009, be the year you call out for love grace and mercy, for these things will heal you and set you free. I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly. Do not walk one more step with any more of your emotional physical and financial luggage from yester year but allow Me to give you that new lease on life.
I have already paid the price for your past present and future mistakes there is no need for you to also try and continually pay the debt. Let Me remind you in 2009 that all your debts of your past mistakes have been paid and I wish to see you dance in this New Year. I wish to hear you sing in this New Year. I wish to hear how you were set free just because you believed Me over a lie.
Many are crossing over into 2009 and yes there are giants in the land. The giants of mammon and financial crisis loom large. They scream at you saying,
“Come on over here you so called sons and daughters of the most high. Do you really think we are just going to give you your so-called promise land just because you crossed over? Your way is blocked and you cannot retreat because the sea of your past has closed behind you. Oh you may have seen the enemies of your past defeated but we are the giants of your present future.
If your security was in mammon before you crossed over then you shall not be able to defeat us, you already came in deficit and didn’t even know it. For those who did not really trust in the most-high God but gave only partial service to Him, you will also fight the giants of defeat and despair but there are those hidden among you that were sold out to Him and these are the ones we call out. Where are your David’s your Daniel’s and Joseph’s now? Who among you can slay us? Even though your God has delivered you from your past emotional problems shall he also deliver you from the tip of our spears?
Many of you do not even call upon Him now in the hour of your need but like King Saul of old you hide in your tent worrying and shaking how this will all end but see no end in sight. We laugh because on your money is written, In God we trust when it should have said, every man for him self. Where is your God now?” and so the enemy taunts us as we stand peering into the promise land. These questions arise: Are you looking at the enemy from through your tent flaps or from the outside? Have God bestowed a level of honor like Saul upon you and yet you still tremble in fear as the God of mammon mocks you?
We do believe for every situation that the enemy raise’s up against the children of the most high, Father God will always trump him. There has never been a challenge that the enemy has presented that God has not given an answer to the solution.
We have read about Joseph Daniel and David. We know about Jonah and Gideon, Samuel, and yes even Saul. There was a Peter and a Saul a Samson and a Tom Hayden.
We are all born for a specific reason. We may not even understand the purpose for all we have gone through thus far in our life but in the fullness of time Father God promises He will reveal His plans and purposes for each and every one of our life’s.
Many times as I have stepped over the side of the boat and walked by faith and I always thought, this is it I did it, only to find out it was only a test, His pre-curser to an even greater test of faith. Each act of my obedience producing a confidence that what He promises He will do if I just accepted the challenge. This letter concerns these very things, His test, the enemy’s challenge and my faith. I am once again stepping out of the boat and this time I don’t believe I’ll be going back the way I came.
We here at Tom Hayden Ministries understand what crossing over means in a literal sense as we have changed our geographical location. Each and everyday as I stand in my doorway looking out into my yard I struggle with this new land, this new people and the spirits of which were not all that happy that I arrived. I have been watching the enemy and listening to him as he mocks the children of God and yet I have not been unleashed to do anything or say anything until now.
