Yes we are on an island. Pleasure Island as it is called is accessible by bridge or ferryboat. There are multiple beaches and towns connected together thus the area is know as Pleasure Island. The local population on the island is small but swells during the summers with vacationers, tourists and those who come back to inhabit their summer homes.
Historic Downtown Wilmington is roughly 17 miles away. Between here and there are many shopping malls and sights to visit. Wilmington also has an International Airport which is approximately 20 miles from where we are located.
